Minimum Requirements for Academic Areas
The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university:
· a Master’s degree in the teaching field, or
· a master’s in any teaching field with 24 upper division and/or graduate semester hours in the teaching field, or
· Master’s in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.
· EDU 250 – Teaching and Learning in the Community College — or equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire.

THE SHAW GROUP, has recently announced it has signed a new contract with Arizona Public Service, Co. (APS) to provide maintenance, modifications, construction and radiological protection services to its Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Arizona. Palo Verde is located just west of Buckeye and is the largest nuclear power plant in the U.S. with three reactors capable of producing more than 4,000 megawatts of electricity.The Shaw Group is a Fortune 500 company with fiscal year 2011 annual revenues of $5.9 billion; Shaw has approximately 27,000 employees around the world and is a power sector industry leader according to Engineering News-Record’s list of Top 500 Design Firms.This announcement may mean more employment opportunities with residents of Buckeye as Shaw manages projects and provides refueling outage support in spring 2012. This news provides a promising outlook to employ local Buckeye residents with opportunities for skilled industrial and power craft workers. More information as we have further discussions.
